it is with great sadness that the families announce the passing of Steadman Goosney at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale, NL, on Sunday, July 7th, 2013, at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter; Norma (Ray) Best of Rattling Brook, NL, his grandchildren; Glenda (Howard) Haughty of London, England, Darrin (Lori Ann) Best, Chad (Patty) Best, Bradly (Angie) Best, & Donna Best of Rattling, his sisters in law; Madeline Goosney, & Pansy Goosney, also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives family and friends. Steadman was predeceased by his wife; Julia nee Parsons, his parents; William & Mable Goosney, his siblings; Wallace, Norman, Joseph, & William Goosney, Hazel (Walter) Gerbowski, & Mable (William) Pittman. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Church of the Resurrection in Birchy Head, NL. on Tuesday, July 9th, 2013, from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013, at 2: pm, with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Birchy Head, NL.
