Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, Mr. Gerald Fiander, age 57 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Lillian; daughter, Margie (Steve) at St. John’s; mother in law, Mrs. Frances Cox at Harbour Breton and her extended family; brother, Joe Hynes and wife, Cynthia, at Harbour Breton; the extended Hynes Family; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, John Sam and Henrietta Fiander, and brother, Simeon.
Funeral service was held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2:00pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Mildred Tobin and Father Justin Dawson officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at a later date.
