Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Friday, July 5, 2013, Mrs. Alice Mary Hickey, age 77 years of St. Jacques, formerly of Bay du Nord. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons, Gerald (Chrissy) at Halifax, Thomas (Roselyn) at St. Jacques, Fred (Jr.) at Halifax and Sean (Dana) at St. Jacques; daughters, Joan (Phil), Marg, and Margo (Jamie) all at Halifax; grandchildren, Heather, Jason, and Ashley at Halifax, and Parker at St. Jacques; great grandchildren, Austin and Briar at Halifax; sisters, Patricia Hickey at St. Jacques and Genny Farrell at Sydney, NS; brother, Fonce (Viola) at Halifax; plus a number of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Frederick Hickey; parents, Thomas and Frances Farrell (Bay Du Nord); brothers, Kevin, Dave, Gerald and Patrick; sister, Eileen.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church at St. Jacques with Father Justin Dawson officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Jacques.
