With saddened hearts the family of Benny MacDonald, age 60, of Victoria Cross, husband of Eileen Dougan, announce his passing on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the Kings County Memorial Hospital. Born October 28, 1952, he was the son of Catherine (Johnson) and the late John MacDonald. Besides his wife, Benny is survived by his loving children Jamie Dougan (Chelsey Lefort) and Shannon MacDonald, sisters Gertie Llewellyn (Glen) and Cecelia MacDonald, cherished granddaughter, Gracie Lynn Dougan, nieces Katie MacDonald, Colleen MacDonald, Erin MacDonald, nephews Dwayne Llewellyn, Earl MacDonald, Shawn MacDonald and several cousins. Benny was predeceased by brothers Patrick and B. J. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Sunday, July 21, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Monday July 22, 2013, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Montague) at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
