DALEVILLE, Alabama – Robert Bruce Myles, 1947-2013, son of the late Della and William Myles of New Glasgow, passed away on Friday, July 19 in hospital in Dothan, Alabama of the ongoing effects of COPD.
Robert’s sense of adventure led him to join the US Army in 1969. He served tours of duty in Vietnam, Germany and Korea. His home base was in Daleville, Alabama to which he moved back to in 2003. Robert fought and won the battle against cancer not once but three times, the latest being in April this year.
He was predeceased by his parents and his youngest brother Kenny.
He is survived by his brothers Billy and David, his sister-in-law Julia and nieces: Amanda, Courtney (Alberta) and Tamara, all of New Glasgow. He is also survived by his wife Oki and adopted children Gina and Tae-won (Daleville) Michael; best friends Tom and Chung and cousins in New Brunswick.
Cremation and burial took place in Daleville.
