It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARCELLA BAKER of Marystown, NL, announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Wednesday, July 24, at the age of 80. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Sons – Cyril (Tina) of Marystown, Mike (Raylene) of Port Aux Basques, Greg (Gloria) of Alberta & Denis (Wanda Lee) of Marystown; Daughters – Joan (Harold Brown) of Marystown, Carol Ann (Winston Ralph) of Marystown, Elaine (Bob Legge) of Marystown & Janet Baker (Sean Jordan) of Pouch Cove; Sister – Mary Spencer of Marystown; Brothers – Mike (Anna) Spencer of Marystown & Jack (Gertie) Spencer of St. John’s; 13 Grandchildren & 16 Great-Grandchildren; Best Friend – Mildred (Ed) Jordan of Pouch Cove & Homecare Worker – Bonnie Critchley of Marystown; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by Husband – Sylvester, Parents – Augustine & Mary Spencer; Son – Sean & Sister – Doreen Spencer.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown, on Saturday, July 27, at 1:00 p.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Marcella’s memory donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care’s Dialysis Unit or flowers gratefully accepted.
