Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Centre on Sunday, July 28, 2013 age 94 years. Predeceased by his wife and mother of his children Marie, second wife Angela, daughter Mary Eileen, son Philip, parents: John & Ellen King of Chapel Arm, brothers: Alphonsus, Jerimaih, James and Thomas. Leaving to mourn his children: Ann (Val) Griffiths, Frank (Maureen), Ray, Carmel (Hayward) Russell, Ron (Sandy), Doris (Don) Bowering and his beloved Marie, grandchildren: Jason, Laurie, Gary, Daniel, Marie, Ronald, Robert and Rebecca, two great grandchildren: Gavin and Alexander, brothers: Pat of Freshwater, Bernard (Selena) of Renews, sisters-in-law Ann of St. John’s, and Rosemary (Gus) of Corner Brook. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Tuesday, July 30 from 2:00 - 9:00. Funeral Mass to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at St. Anne’s Church, Dunville. Interment to take place in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory can be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation.
