The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on August 5, 2013, of Edwin Gallant, of Cymbria, age 66.
Edwin is survived by his loving wife, Gladys; son, Mark (Tilly); daughter, Michelle (Sheldon); grandchildren, Norman, Zachary, Kaitlyn and Kamryn; brothers and sisters, Edna Doucette (Aeneas), Denis, Audrey (Bernie deceased), Eric (Donna), Melvin (Roma), Marcella (Paul), Francis (Marlene), Anne Marie Vessey (John), Delma Good (Jim), Reggie (Melissa), Phyllis Arsenault (Shane), Joan Blacquiere (Gerard), Michael (Susan) and Carl (Samantha); sisters and brothers-in-law, Earlene Larkin, Kay Kelly, Vince Gallant, Eileen Arsenault (Alcide), Agnes Elford (Gerald), Bernice Sheehan (Buddy deceased), Puis Gallant (Joan), Bev Lannon (Francis deceased); special aunt, Evelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edwin was predeceased by his parents, Gelas and Margaret; and mother and father-in-law, Frank and Kate Gallant.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Lions' Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:15 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
