Trenton - Donald Wilson Byrne, age 73, of Duke Street, Trenton, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Clarence Miller and Lillian Isobel (Livingston) Byrne. He was retired from Trenton Works. He was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife Gladys; daughter: Denise, Trenton; sons: Gordon, Toronto; D.J. (Adel), New Glasgow; grandsons: Nolan and Brycen; granddaughter: Asha; brothers: William Byrne, Trenton; George Byrne, Ontario; James (Joanne ) Reekie, Ontario; sisters: Mildred (Charlie) MacKinnon, Stellarton; Audrey Reekie, Ontario; Pricila Riddle, Ontario; Isabel Smith, Ontario; Evelyn (James) Curren, Ontario. He was a special uncle to many nieces, nephews and is also survived by numerous cousins. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. A reception will be held at 11 am Friday in the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29, Trenton. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Family flowers only please.
