It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgina (Joey) Wilmot on August 3, 2013 at the age of 80.
She will leave a great void in the lives of her husband Patrick Wilmot, her six children: Brian (Sue) Wilmot of Kamloops, Dale (Marianne) Wilmot of Kamloops, Gary (Judy) Wilmot of Kamloops, Marvin (Veronica) Wilmot of Regina, Sask., Diane (Jim) Docolas of Kamloops and Darlene (Allen) Hungar of Kamloops; seventeen grandchildren: Karen, Amy, Jennifer, Nicole, Ray, Rachelle, Amber, Patrick, Brianna, Ashley, Jon, Nitsa, Peter, Eleni, Brad, Alex and Danielle; seven great-grandchildren Jade, Dylan, Cloe, Amy, Zach, Austin and Harper; brother-in-law Jim (Adele), sister-in-law Enid and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joey was predeceased by her infant daughter Donna, parents George and Ethel Taylor, sisters Helen and Marjorie, brother Alvin, daughter-in-law Kathy and special niece and lifelong friend Marion.
Joey was born on October 8, 1932 in Salmon Arm, BC. She moved to Kamloops with her parents at the age of nine. She married on April 25, 1953 and spent the rest of her life devoting herself to raising and loving her family. She will be forever loved and missed.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 in the Schoening Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2T1, in memory of Joey.
