STEPHENSON, Marion Matilda [nee Brigden]. October 16, 1916- August 13, 2013. Marion was born and raised in Shaunavon, Sk. and attended Normal School in Moose Jaw. She taught in several rural schools in southwest Sask. where she met and married her husband of 64 yrs. They farmed at Hazenmore, Sk. for 35 yrs. Marion was very busy with farm work, raising three daughters and the local ladies club. In 1975 they retired to Medicine Hat becoming very active at the Veiner Center dancing, playing cards and table tennis. Marion loved entertaining their many friends, her flower beds and having family visit. In 2002 they enjoyed the security and care provided by a move to Chinook Village. Marion moved to Madison Manor, Nanton, Ab., in 2009 to be closer to her family. The family is very grateful for the excellent care she received there until her passing. Marion leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Carol (Bob) Evans, Faye (Wayne) Iverson and Doreen (Larry) Jensen, grandchildren Stephanie Evans, Wanda (Lorne) Herriman, Jason (Jamie) Evans, Amy Iverson, Jared (Jill) Iverson, Brent (Bradee Hlady) Iverson, Troy Jensen and Kyle Jensen and 13 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Gladys Jackson, Leduc, Ab. and sister-in-law Alta Legros, Ponteix, Sk. as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Tillie Brigden and husband Payton Stephenson. Interment will be at 11:00AM Aug.19 at Memory Gardens, Swift Current, SK.
