Alton Stilwell
STILWELL, ALTON - The passing of Alton "Bud" Stilwell, husband of Marguerite (nee Stevens) occurred on Friday, August 16, 2013. Born on July 12, 1927 in Union Settlement, NB, he was the son of the late Mabel and Stanley Stilwell. Survived by his loving wife, Marguerite; son, Roger (Trish) Stilwell of Moncton; daughter, Beth (James) Thompson of Fredericton; grandchildren, Lisa Brown, Leigh Thompson, Julie (Sheldon) Panisiak and Peter Stilwell; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Madisyn and Alysha Brown and Shelby and Myles Panisiak; brother, Lewellyn of Fredericton; and sister, Lois Perry of Union Settlement. Predeceased by infant sons, Bruce Cecil and Dale Robert; also predeceased by his brother, Eugene Stilwell; and sister, Yvonne Stilwell. Bud resided in Chipman and was well-known and respected in the music community. His passion and talent for music was only surpassed by his love for his family.
Resting at Chipman Funeral Home (339-6612) where family will receive comfort on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the United Pentecostal Church, Chipman on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Potier officiating. Private interment will be at the Coles Island Baptist Cemetery.
