McKAY, ROSAMOND L. - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday, August 15, 2013, Rosamond "Rose" Louise (Haines) McKay, wife of Colin McKay of Pennfield, NB. Born in Morristown, NS, she was the daughter of the late Russell Alfred and Muriel Blanche (Tupper) Haines. Rose was a member of Christ Church Anglican Church in Pennfield, NB for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband, Colin are her brothers, Edmund Haines (the late Claire Haines) of Pennfield, NB, Clinton C. Haines (Leona) and Stanley L. Haines (Kathleen), all of NS; nieces and their husbands, Arden and Diane (Haines) Robar of Farmington, NS, Carl and Donna (Haines) Varner of Halifax, NS, Pierre and Rosemund (Haines) of Ottawa, ON, Kim Haines of Ottawa and Lester McKay (Millie) of Pennfield, NB; and special friends, Claire and Sylvain Levesque of Pennfield, NB and Jimmy and Krista Peters of St Stephen, NB; as well as many, many other special people who were blessed to know her.
Resting at Christ Church Anglican Church, Pennfield, NB from where the service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm, Rev. Keith Osbourne officiating. The interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Romero House Soup Kitchen Saint John or the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
