Myrtle Christine Franks passed away peacefully at the Pioneers Lodge Moose Jaw on August 16, 2013 at the age of 101 years. Myrtle was born in Red Iron Lake, Marshall County, South Dakota on October 7, 1911. Myrtle was the second of four children born to Stian and Mathilda (nee Anderson) Stianson. She is predeceased by her loving husband Raymond on August 29, 2000, son Mervin on May 22, 2004, father Stian on October 2, 1962, mother “Thilda” on August 13, 1981, oldest brother Selmer on January 2, 2007, youngest brother Clifford in the fall of 1967, and sister Amy Stevenson on July 3, 2012. She leaves with special memories her family: son Keith (Sharon) Franks – Surrey, BC, daughter-in-law May Franks of Burnaby, BC, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a great many friends. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday August 20, 2013 at 10:00AM. Mr. Jim Atcheson will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
