LEGER, DELPHINE - 1922 - 2013 - Delphine Leger, 91, of Chênes De Mambré, Shediac formerly of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Sunday, August 25th, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC in Moncton. Born May 19th, 1922 in Cormier Village, she was the daughter of the late Didace and Josephine (Gaudet) Leger. She was a member of the St-Henry R.C. Church, Barachois and a former member of the Barachois Golden Age Club. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Rosella Cormier (Euclide Richard) of Ste-Marie, Jeannine Joyce (late Wayne) of Saint-John and Denise Vautour (Léo-Paul) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; two sons: Léo (Yvette) and Gérald (Georgette) both of Grand-Barachois; three sisters: Claudine Henderson of Kamloops, BC, Jeannine Boudreau (Camille Belliveau) and Géraldine Allain (Edmond) both of Grand-Barachois; two brothers: Gérard (Vina) of Grand-Barachois and Levi (Lucille) of Boudreau-Office; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Alphée Leger (2000); one sister, Lucia; seven brothers: Ovila, Robert, Alcide, infant, Alderic, René, Emile and Yvon.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Center, 396, Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, August 28th, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to time of departure (10:05 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri R.C. Church, Barachois, on Thursday, August 29th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home, Shediac. In memory of Delphine, a donation to the St-Henri de Barachois cemetery would be appreciated.
