It is with great sadness that the family of the late Monte Drake announce his sudden passing at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto on Saturday, August 24th 2013 in his 60th year. He leaves to mourn with loving memories his wife Mavis, his three sons: Jay (Krista) in St. Johns, Trevor in Calgary and Kaden in Lourdes, his daughter Danielle (Keith) Greene in Kippens, his mother Teresa Drake in Lourdes, his three sisters: Sis (Eddy) Drake in Piccadilly, Aurelia (Pat) Drake in Lourdes and Elaine (Paul) Kendall in North Bay, Ontario along with two grandchildren: Jack and Alex Greene and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Henry Joe Drake. Funeral services will take place on Saturday August 31st 2013 at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Lourdes with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Thursday from 7-9 and on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Lourdes Grotto in Monte’s memory.
