The death occurred peacefully with his family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, August 27 2013 of Edward Joseph Gallant husband of the late Nora Edna (nee Brown) Gallant of Abram’s Village at the age of 76.Edward was born in Abram’s Village on Feb. 15 1937 son of the late Joseph C. and Edna (nee Arsenault) Gallant. He leaves to mourn his son Randy (Jeannette) Gallant and one grandson Darcy. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Elva (Freddy),Miscouche, Peter (Donna) Belleville, Ont., Louise, Summerside , Leonce Abram’s Village, Sister Anna Montreal, Helene Abram’s Village, Alice (Pierre) Chabot Val D’or P.Q., Yvonne (Earl) Perry Summerside, Lucie (Lucien) Chabot Louiseville, P.Q., Edmond (Angela), Summerside, He also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Uncle and Aunt Rita &Eddy Arsenault, Le Chez-Nous, Wellington.Predeceased by one nephew Earl Arsenault and brother in-law Douglas. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Friday, August 30 2013 then to St.Philippe and St.Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Fr. Michel Painchaud. Visiting hour on Thursday, August 29 from 6 - 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Building Fund would be appreciated.Interment in the church cemetery.
