SPRINGHILL - Kathleen MacDonald, 90 years of age, of Springhill, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health care Centre. Born in Springhill she was a daughter of the late Richard & Margaret (Phalen) Ellsworth.
She enjoyed bowling, spending time with her family at her cottage. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her sons, Gregory (Kathy) MacDonald, Amherst and Garfield “Sonny” Skilton, Alberta; step son, John (Tanya) MacDonald, Sheet Harbour; grandchildren, Sherri Dorn, Truro, Michael McAloney of Halifax , Paula (Craig) Smith, St. Andrews, NB, Aaron MacDonald, Dartmouth, Robyn MacDonald, Amherst; step granddaughter, Robin MacDonald, Halifax; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Morgan, Matthew and Brittany.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,James MacDonald; daughter Gail McAloney, son in law Doug McAloney.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill (597-2361). There will be no visitation or funeral service at Kathleen’s request.
A graveside service will take place at the Hillside Cemetery on Sunday, September 1st at 1 p.m.
