PETERSEN, RAY - At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, September 2, 2013, Mr. Ray Petersen of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 84. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Green) Petersen. Born at New Denmark in 1929, he was a son of the late Oscar and Lillian (Oquist) Petersen. Ray was retired from McCain Foods Limited with 33 years of dedicated service. He is forever grateful for the loving care provided by his daughter Krista and granddaughter Ashley. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Shirley and is survived by five children, Connie of Lethbridge, Alberta, Craig (Janie) of Calgary, Randy (Pierrette) of Drummond, Tim (Nancy) of Saint John and Krista (Dale) of Grand Falls, nine grandchildren, Christopher, Keri, Janik, Robert, Pamela, Sara, Alex, Ashley and Rena, two great grandchildren, Summer Ann and Landon. He was also predeceased by three sisters, Marion, Pearl and Ruth and one brother, Charles.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Thursday, September 5th from 7 to 9 p.m. His funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Friday, September 6th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ralph Weigold of the Lutheran Church officiating.
