NAPPAN - Kenneth "Ken" Turner, 77 years of age, of Nappan, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Gerald & Lillian (Jackson) Turner.
Ken enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. He worked for the Amherst Daily News for many years.
He will be sadly missed by his sons, Barry & Tim both at home; brothers, Rod of Ontario & Dougie of Amherst; sisters, Bev of Truro, Kim of New Glasgow.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Joan Lawrence, brother, Jerry, sister Linda Turner.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, N.S.,(902-667-8777). No visitation by request. A graveside service was held at the Lorneville United Church Cemetery on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
