MacPherson, Phyllis Margaret – 86, of Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Bernice (Bennett) Cook. After graduating from KCA, she went onto Payzant Memorial School of Nursing, where she met her husband, Harry. Phyllis and Harry later owned and operated Klean-All Dry Cleaners in Windsor for many years, which has now been passed on through their family. Phyllis was very active; she loved to travel, golfing, curling, gardening and animals. She was a member of the Avon Valley Golf Club and the Windsor Curling Club. She also greatly enjoyed Christmas and the July long weekend spent at the lake. Phyllis is survived by her sons, Robert; Roderick “Roddy” (Heather Pearson); Randy (Catherine Woodman), all of Windsor; daughters, Nancy (Garth) Hartlin, Windsor; Lynn (John) Shunamon, Mount Uniacke; grandchildren, Jacquline, Shantel, Heidi, Emily, Jake, Luke. Tim, Allison and Tim; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel and Erica; sisters, Madeline Moir, Windsor and Shirley (Ackie) Clerk, New Minas. Besides her husband, Harry Raymond MacPherson, she was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Lloyd VanBlarcom and Gerald Moir. The family would like to thank the Staff of Dykeland Lodge for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Phyllis during her stay. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, September 2. Funeral service took place Tuesday, September 3 at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Bill Gibson officiated. Interment was held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
