The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, of Hedy Theresa Ochsner, beloved wife of Magnus Ochsner, of Greenvale, age 85. Hedy immigrated from Switzerland in 1959. She was the loving mother of John (Kristine Arsenault), Maggie Pereira (Dave Dominie) and Frances Ochsner (Alan Davis); and cherished grandmother of Ashlea and Shannon Ochsner and Isabel and Nicolle Pereira. Hedy is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth, Rita, Francesca, Trudy and Lotty in Switzerland, and Sylvia in Australia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Max and Fransisca (Koch) Leuppi; brothers, Joseph and Hans; and sisters, Rose and Anna. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Monday, Sept. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
