Age 70
Passed away suddenly on September. 3rd, 2013. David was born in St. John’s and raised on Bell Island. He worked as a pharmacist all his life and thoroughly enjoyed the contact with his colleagues and customers. He was the son of the late William & Marion (Stevens) Butler. David is survived by his brother Lorne (Halifax), sister-in-law Anne (Halifax); nephew Keith (Raelene), their three children: Sam, Matt & Emily who were very special to him, all from St. John’s; nephew Rob and his two daughters: Ireland & Robbie (Toronto, ON); niece Kim (Pat Feltmate) and their two children: Anabelle and Charlie (Fredericton, NB). Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd., on Tuesday, September 10th, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 11th, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. Burial to take place at a later date in Clarke’s Beach. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Young Adult Cancer Canada, or to a charity of one’s choice.
