FLEURY- Cleo George: It is with great sadness that the Fleury family announce the passing of Cleo (George), who passed away suddenly at his home on September 5th, 2013 in Swift Current at the age of 67. A Memorial service was held on Monday, September 9th, 2013 at 7:00pm from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home, with Zoria Shumay officiating. Yolande Gorrill played the organ. The internment was held in Shaunavon from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with Father John Mock officiating, where Cleo (George) was laid to rest near his parents Reo and Therese; and his sister Carol. He is survived by his brother Robert (Edna); and his sisters Beatrice (Jim), and Rhea (Edgar); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his great nephews Brian and Tyler Fleury. Cleo (George) was born in Ponteix, SK on April 10, 1946. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with an Education Degree. He was a retired schoolteacher who taught in Australia and in numerous rural Saskatchewan communities. After retiring from teaching, Cleo (George) worked in Swift Current as a realtor. Cleo will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his commitment to family, for his endless conversation and unique humor. Although his passing was too early, may he rest in peace. Donations in Cleo's (George) memory may be made to St. Josephs Foyer in Ponteix. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
