Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Sunday, September 8, 2013, with her adoring husband Edwin by her side, Alice Viola Dicks R.N. (nee Pike). Predeceased by her brothers: George, Douglas, Alfred H. (Vera) and Harrison (Gladys) Pike; sisters: Hazel (John) Johnson, Minnie (John) Plank, Louise Pike and Edna (Frank) Moores. Left to mourn her passing are nephews: Alfred Pike (Louise), Douglas Pike (Kay) of Toronto, Geoff Pike (Carol) and Glen Moores (Diana), Dr. Albert Pike, Gordon Mayo (Beulah), Robert Mayo (Doris); nieces: Glenys Pike (Ottawa) and Marilyn Whelan (Gordon); sister-in-law Joan Periera (Harry); 19 grand-nieces and nephews; 15 great-grand-nieces and nephews; special friends: Allan Jones, Jim Murray, Nina and Derek Strong, Yvonne and Don Bradbury and Doris Howse (Peterborough); many friends in the nursing profession, the congregation of George Street United Church and a large circle of friends from near and far. She will be greatly missed by all. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
