LeBLANC, GERALD "GERRY" N. - Gerald “Gerry” N. LeBlanc, 69, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ernest and Alida (Maillet) LeBlanc. Gerry was a self employed taxi driver for over 27 years. He loved hockey, was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and enjoyed socializing with his friends and spending time with his family. Gerry will be sadly missed by sons, Randy LeBlanc, Douglas LeBlanc (Lynn) and Peter LeBlanc (Laura), all of Moncton; cherished grandson, Randy R. Caissie of Moncton; mother of his children, Phyllis (Bauer) LeBlanc; sisters, Juliette Bourgeois (Réne), Thérèsa Randall (Richard), Yvonne Ferreria (Paul); brothers, Romeo LeBlanc (late Jackie), Leonard LeBlanc (late Elva) and Victor LeBlanc (Phyllis); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Gerry was predeceased by his son, Daniel (1985).
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm only. Funeral Service for Gerry will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
