GRANT, ELLA MARIE - Marie Grant of Canterbury, NB passed away September 10, 2013 at Upper River Valley Hospital. Born in 1930 at Woodstock, NB, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Smith) Hamilton. Marie was a dedicated member of St. Mark’s United Church and the UCW. She was a volunteer with St. John Ambulance and served as Canterbury Village Clerk for several years. Marie was an excellent seamstress and she enjoyed genealogy and scrapbooking. She is survived by her children, Joan Way, Charlie Lake, NB, Joyce MacDonald (Duane), Temperance Vale, NB, Lorna Folsom (Kim), Idaho Falls, Idaho and Larry Grant (Beth), Charlie Lake, NB; three grandchildren, Michelle MacDonald (Mike), Andrew MacDonald (Melissa) and Mark Grant; a great grandson, Riece; a brother, Paul Hamilton (Linda), Canterbury, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dan Grant and a brother, Ray Hamilton.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s United Church, Canterbury, NB on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Greg Williams officiating. Interment in Canterbury Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church hall.
