GABRIEL, JACQUELINE 'JACKIE' - 1964-2013 - Berry Mills, NB, Amherst, NS - Jacqueline Gabriel (nee Ogilvie), 48, of Berry Mills, NB, lost her battle with cancer on September 11, 2013. Born on November 23, 1964 in Hull, England, she is the beloved daughter of Jack and Sylvia Ogilvie. Jackie and her parents came to Montreal, Canada when she was an infant, then to Amherst, NS. Besides her parents, Jackie will be deeply and sadly missed by her husband, Roger Gabriel, of Berry Mills, NB with whom she has shared 34 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Greg MacPhee) Ogilvie, of Strathcona, NS; son Bryson (Melissa Daye) Gabriel, Debert; sisters Lisa (Dale) Mattinson, Oxford, and Hazel (Carl) Sellars, Amherst; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jackie and Roger owned and operated Gabriel's Garbage Disposal for a number of years, then moved to Moncton where Jackie started working for Keltic Transportation Inc as International Account Manager. She loved her job and her co-workers. Jackie also had a passion for riding her Harley Davidson; she was definitely a "biker babe". She also had a love for rottweilers.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS, (902-667-8777). Honoring Jackie's wishes, there is to be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 3 pm. Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Jackie's family would like to thank the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital for the excellent care she received. A special thank you to the Palliative Care nurses for their care and compassion.
