It is with great sadness the family wish to announce the passing of Lloyd Marchesin at home on Sept. 8, 2013.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Sam and Catherine (Gatto) Marchesin.
In earlier years Lloyd worked at the Steel Plant and the Heavy Water Plant. Lloyd was a kind person and over the years has volunteered his services to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Parish of Saint Leonard, he liked walking, gardening, loved country music.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, the love of his life; his sons, Barry (Stacey), Thomas and Samuel; sisters, Rose (Thomas) Head, Cecelia Liebeck and Madonna; grandchildren, Selena, Miranda and Little Barry, who were his pride and joy.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by brothers, Donnie, Joseph, Gary and sister, Lorraine Burke.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the KOC, Plummer Avenue. All are welcome.
