Theresa (nee MacKinnon) Mazerolle

Lieu de naissance : Glace Bay, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de naissance : 6 mai 1928

Lieu de décès : Whitby, Ontario, Canada
Date de décès : 18 septembre 2013

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa in Whitby, Ont., on Sept. 18, 2013, at the age of 85. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
Formerly of New Aberdeen, Glace Bay, N.S., she is survived by her husband, David; son, Andre and his wife Moragh Cameron and grandson Keigan. She is also survived by her eldest sister, Mary (Mae) of Toronto; numerous loving nephews and nieces, and was predeceased by sisters, Cecilia and Jessie, and brother Fabian.
Theresa was a devoted wife and mother, a dutiful daughter, a caring sister, a good neighbour, a loyal friend, a hardworker, and a woman of faith in God.
Theresa retired from Sears in Glace Bay after 35 years of faithful service, and dearly missed working with "the girls" who meant so much to her. She lived almost her entire life on Wally Street until she and her husband moved to Toronto to be closer to their family. She dearly missed everyone on "the street" and the warmth and draw of Cape Breton Island.
In Ontario she found a new peace, comfort and good health. She was blessed to have the love, devotion and care of Dhel and Avril, and her constant companion, the family dog, Magnus.
The family will hold a gathering for Theresa at their home at 447 Whitby Shores Greenway, Whitby, Ont., at 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22.
In lieu of flowers and cards, please make a donation to your local Alzheimer's Society in her name.
Theresa's ashes will be retuned to Cape Breton and buried in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery, forever with a view of the wild blue Atlantic Ocean.
