Lieu de décès : Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Date de décès : 20 septembre 2013

With the passing of Terry McInnis, the world has lost a loving husband, an adored and adoring father, a treasured son, a cherished brother, a favourite uncle, a steadfast friend, a gifted and trusted businessperson and a hilarious storyteller.
Terrence Robert 'Terry' McInnis, 53, passed away peacefully in his Ottawa home on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, surrounded by his loving family to whom he spoke his final words: “I love you all.”
Terry was born Dec. 9, 1959, in Sydney Mines, N.S., the son of the late Agnes (Sutherland) and Larry McInnis. He graduated from Mount Allison University and remained close to many of his Mount A. friends for the rest of his life.
Although Terry’s remarkably successful business ventures took him around the world many times over, his priority was always to be home in Ottawa where his life revolved around his wife, Cathy and his daughters, Meghan and Bridget.
Throughout a career spanning 28 years Terry was universally respected by his co-workers and clients because of his honesty, integrity and complete mastery of his profession. At the time of his passing Terry was Major Account Executive at Autodesk Inc., having previously held successful posts as Director, Business Development, Nakina Systems; Vice-President, Sales, Coemergence; Vice-President, Sales, Eftia OSS Solutions; Director, Telecom Sales, Audodesk Inc.; Director, Sales, MCI Systemhouse; Director, Sales, SHL Systemhouse; Director, Sales, Geovision; and Sales Engineer, Dipix Systems.
Terry is survived by his wife, Cathy (Lindsay), and his daughters, Meghan and Bridget; brothers, Lawrence (Lynne), Markham and Brian (Gena), Kentville; sister, Anne Christine Whitfield (Neil), Belleville; nephews, Christian, Jim, Darby and Shane McInnis; nieces, Erin and Sarah McInnis, and Morgan, Laura and Kyly Whitfield; and many cousins, aunts and uncles whom he loved very much.
Terry was predeceased by his father, Larry, and his younger brother Sean, and by his dear mother, Agnes, who passed away just one month ago.
The family would like to thank all of Terry’s friends and colleagues who gave their kind and generous support over the past few months, especially Terry’s dear friends Mike Arno, Jean Caliberté and Casey Van Der Grient.
A memorial service honouring Terry’s exemplary life will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Pinecrest Memorial Chapel, 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has already taken place. In the spring Terry’s ashes will be sprinkled on the Cabot Trail on his beloved Cape Breton Island.
