Passed peacefully away at his residence in Spaniard’s Bay on Sunday, September 22nd, 2013 Mr. Donald R. Smith age 87 years. Predeceased by his parents: James and Dora Smith of Bishop’s Cove. Brothers: Edwin and Jimmy. Sisters: Marjorie (Murray Stratton) Cavell (Joe Lundrigan) Leaving to mourn are; his wife Velma of sixty-three years. Daughters: Donna (Ron Fitzgerald), Robin (Jerry McLean), Cindy (Wade Morgan), son; Kevin (Valerie Slaney). Eight grandchildren: Michael, Kathy (Derek Drover), Stephen, Megan (Brandon Tilley), Joanne, Justin, Jessica, Melissa. Three great-grandchildren: Amber, Abbigail and Daniel. Brothers: Alfred (Betty), Gerald (Audrey) Winston (Lena), sisters: Lorraine Gosse (Bill deceased) Winnie (Joe Pozzobon), Norma (Calvin Brent deceased), sisters-in-law: Clara Pike (Frank deceased), Anne Collins (Hadow deceased), Julie Collins (Doug deceased), Stella (Marcus Collins), Edward and Phyllis Collins both deceased. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Spaniard’s Bay Funeral service also at Lynch’s Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Visitation Tuesday, September 24th from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 25th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 26th, 10-11 a.m. No Flowers by request.
