With heavy hearts, the family of Margaret Evelyn McBride (Winter) of Moose Jaw, wish to announce her peaceful passing on September 24, 2013, with family by her side, at the age of 92. Margaret moved to Moose Jaw in 1940 to attend Nursing College. She graduated from the college in 1943 and while nursing at the Moose Jaw General Hospital, she fell in love with Robert McBride. They were married in 1945 and made their home in Moose Jaw, where they lived the rest of their lives. Margaret returned to nursing in 1964 until her retirement in 1982. She was known for her work ethic, compassion and professionalism as a nurse and it won her many accolades from her patients and other nurses, who she mentored. After her retirement she devoted her energy full time to her family, particularly her grandchildren who were her biggest joys. Margaret is survived by her daughter Roberta (Whit) Wyatt, three grandchildren, Steven (Jenny) Wyatt of Regina, Tristan (Ashley) Wyatt of Regina, Natasha (Jeff) Veeder of Moose Jaw; great-grandchildren: Jalen and Seth; her sister, Eileen Pravda of Bigger; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret is predeceased by her husband Robert (1964), two infant daughters, Brenda Gail and Donna Jean, her parents and 12 brothers and sisters. The Celebration of Marg’s life will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday September 28, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated. In living memory of Marg, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
