Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the age of 78 years. Originally from Bell Island, Amelia came from a dearly loving family - predeceased by mother Hettie and father Roland, and two brothers and five sisters. Leaving to mourn her life-long partner Robert; three loving daughters Wendy, Diane, and Veralynn; five adoring grandchildren: Shannon, Angie, Jamie, Jordon, and Wesley; two sisters: Joan MacDonald and Anita Mercer. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home in Mount Pearl, 73 Commonwealth Avenue. Visitation is on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service is in Mount Pearl, at The Parish of the Ascension Anglican Church, 58 Smallwood Drive, on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation can be sent to Bell Island Hospital.
