MONTGOMERY: February 28, 1924 – September 22, 2013-Jean was born and raised south of Morse on SE5-16-8-W of 3rd. Jean had a full life; she loved to cook, play games, and visit with friends. She was very involved with the U.C.W., and Royal Purple. Jean drove and lived alone until a month before her passing. She was predeceased by her husband Bob of 59 years, grandson Ryan, parents Melvin and Rachel (Saigeon) Lewis, sister Madge Maurer, brothers Golden and Cecil Lewis, father and mother-in-law Louis and Ruth Montgomery, brother-in-law Ted Maurer, and sisters-in-law Jean Montgomery and Hertha Lewis. She is survived by her son Douglas (Mary Anne), grandchildren Evan and Kelly; son Michael (Charlotte), grandchildren Kristine (Ron), Flynn, and Melissa Montgomery; brothers-in-law Walter Montgomery and Jim (Lois) Montgomery, and sister-in-law Jean (Ted) Wright. The Funeral Service will be held at the Morse United Church on Friday September 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Fred Mathieson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Morse Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Morse United Church, to the Herbert & District Integrated Health Facility, or to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
