PRENTICE: Francis (Frank) Prentice 1919 – 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of Francis William Prentice announces his passing on September 29, 2013, at the age of 93. Francis (Frank) was born on November 1, 1919, in Abbey, Saskatchewan. He grew up and worked on the family farm. In 1942 he joined the RCAF as an air bomber in World War II and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). He married Lucy Hunt on October 14, 1949, and they farmed in the Abbey district until 1983 when they retired and moved to Saskatoon. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by one sister, Doreen (Lee) Brown, and his four children, William (Stephane), Pamela (Dr. Edgar) Yee, Jean (Cliff) Prpich, and Larry. He also leaves four grandchildren, Adrienne (Jeremy) Banning, Andrea (Doug) Rogoshewsky, Christopher and Stephen Yee, and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Blake Banning. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Prairie View Chapel and Crematorium. Ph 306-242-7884
