It is with sadness that the family of the late Pearl L. Courtney announce her passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, N.L. at the age of
62 years. Pearl leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Clayton; children: Deanna (Brian) Hynes of Grand Falls-Windsor, N.L., Diane Courtney of Conception Bay South, N.L.; four grandchildren: Kayla, Alicia, Emma & Keenan; brothers: Sandy, Clarence, Wayne, Danny & Dean; sisters: Olive & Evelyn; as well as a large number of nieces of nephews relatives and friends. Pearl is predeceased by: her parents Roland, & Bessie Bursey, brothers Alvin, Larry, & Garry. The public visitation took place Thursday, October 3, 2013 from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wings Point, N.L. The funeral service took place, Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Giles officiating. The interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Wings Point, N.L. Pallbearers were: brothers, Clarence Bursey, Danny Bursey, Wayne Bursey, Dean Bursey; son-in-law Brian Hynes, brother-in-law Ronald Gillingham. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte, N.L.
