The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Monday, October 14, 2013, of David Ling, beloved husband of Edith (nee MacCann), of North Winsloe, age 68.
David was the loving father of Dr. Kathy Ling Brewster (Jamie Brewster) and Lisa Ling Sherren (Adam Sherren); and special grampie of Ella Sherren. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Ling, Brenda Howatt (Peter) and Cynthia Judson (Stephen); brothers, Blain (Susan) and Hubert (Theresa Livingstone); aunts, Susie MacCallum and Betty Cruwys (the late Stan); brothers-in-law, Hartley Corney and Fred MacCann (Tammy MacCallum); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. David was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Jennie (MacCallum) Ling; brother, Horace; sister, Nancy Corney; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2013, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Central Queen's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment in Portage Cemetery, Brackley Beach.
