Regina Mary Lake (nee Kerwin)

Date de décès : 14 octobre 2013

June 17, 1947 - October 14, 2013
Of Cambridge. Our beloved mother passed away at Hospice Wellington in her 67th year. After a long battle with emphysema and lung cancer, she is now in a better place although she will be greatly missed. Regina will lovingly be remembered by her children Iris (Jonathan) Bartlett Ross, Christina (Dean) Lake Beitz; as well as grandchildren Haley, Brady, Ethan, Zack, and Mariah; her siblings Joan, Joseph, Donald, Kevin and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her partner, Art MacDonald; parents, Mary and Leo; and siblings, Mary, James, Leo, John, Augustine, Zita, Margaret, and Arthur; and son-in-law Paul Bartlett. Regina was a proud Newfoundlander, born and raised, who had been residing in Ontario for 24 years. There was always an open door with lots of singing and dancing, especially to Irish music. She had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed her social time. Her greatest love though, was for her family. She was a devoted partner, mother, daughter and sister. She will always be remembered for her prim and properness. A special heartfelt thank you to CCAC, CMH, Hospice Wellington and to all who cared for her. We would like to extend a special thank you to all of our families and friends for their words of comfort, special thoughts, deeds and many prayers. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clements Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Regina will be laid to rest in St. John’s in the near future. For further information, please contact Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 519-822-0051 or www.wallcustance.com. If desired, donations to Children’s Make-A-Wish Foundation or Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated.
