Passed away quietly, aged 77, in the loving presence of her family on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, Newfoundland. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Ross L. Martin; her son, Ross Brian Martin (Cheryl); her twin sister Marlene Woodcock, and her parents Carl and Elvira (Vira) Hansen. Left with fond and loving memories are her brother Carl Hansen (Dorothy), Wasaga Beach, ON; daughters Sharon Ellis (Melvin), Harlingen, Texas; Karen (Eric Vauhkonen), Birmingham, UK; sons Terry (Cathy), St. John’s, NL; and Peter, Grand Prairie, AB; grandchildren Terrilyn Alaniz (Leroy) and Nathan Ellis, Harlingen, Texas; Melissa Mallam (Nick), Lori Martin; Carl Ross Martin, and Hilary Martin, St. John’s, NL; Shane Ellis, Edmonton, AB; great-grandson Troy Alaniz, Harlingen, Texas; sisters-in-law: Bernice Doucette and Florence Kennedy (David); and brothers-in-law: Ron Martin & Robert Martin, and Scooter, Shilo, Rily and Gizmo.
She also leaves behind a large circle of close and much loved relatives and friends. Family extend a heartfelt thanks to her friends and relatives for their support, concern and love during her passing. We also extend special and sincere thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their care and kindness.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Clarenville Inn on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has already taken place.
