PHILLIPS, ERMA EDNA - of Woodstock, NB passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the age of 81 years. She was born in Mount Pleasant, NB, daughter of the late W. Millen and Edna L. (Drake) Hawthorne. She is survived by one brother, Gilbert Hawthorne and his wife Norma of Stickney, NB. Several nieces and nephews as well as Ralph`s children. Besides her parents, Erma was pre-deceased by her husband Ralph Phillips, three sisters, Muriel Hawthorne, Shirley Burlock, Leola Hovey, and one brother Ercel Hawthorne.
The remains are resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, with visiting on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm from Woodstock Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Cousins will be officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
