Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, on Saturday, October 25, 2013, at the Harbour View Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear, Lawrence Gibbons, formerly of St. Vincent's, SMB, aged 91 years. Predeceased by his wife Mary, parents Aiden & Mabel Gibbons, daughter Augusta, grandson Pte. Kevin Kennedy; brothers: Eric, Fred and Arnold and sisters: Nora, Gladys & Genevieve. Leaving to mourn with fond & loving memories daughter Kay (Reg), sons Jerry(Annmari) and Dave (Sherry), grandsons Michael (Sandy) and Jordan, brothers Ray (Mildred) and Harold (Nancy), brothers-in-law Ambrose Halleran and Bill Hawco; extended family members: Myles, Margaret and Sandy and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends across Canada, including friends and caregivers of Neville’s Personal Care Home, St. Mary’s, Captain William Jackman Hospital, Labrador City and Harbour View Lodge Nursing Home. Resting at the Fr. Battcock Memorial Chapel, St. Vincent’s, on Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29, from 2 – 4pm; 7 – 9pm.
