It is with great sadness that the family of the late DORA WALTERS of Fortune announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Thursday, October 24, at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Sons – Freeman (Alma) of Fortune, Frank (Elizabeth) of Port Au Choix and Gilbert (Beth) of Nova Scotia; Sister – Anita Burton of Grand Bank; Sisters-in-law – Hazel Burfitt of CBS, Carrie (George) Smith of Grand Bank and Roberta Maceachern of Nova Scotia; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her Husband – George Walters; Daughter – Joy Walters and Brother – Freeman Burfitt.

The Funeral Service took place on Sunday, October 27, at 2:00 p.m., from the United Church in Fortune. Interment followed at The United Church Cemetery in Fortune. In Dora’s memory donations may be made to The Walters Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
