Viola Jean Legere
Legere, Viola Jean – Truro and formerly of Upper Stewiacke. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Viola Legere, on October 30, 2013, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by family and friends.
Born on January 29, 1945, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late George and Frances (Graham) Lemon.
Surviving are her common-law companion, and guardian angel, Ken Blair, Truro; children, Donald (Helen), Murray Siding; Angela (David), Red Deer, Alberta; Bill (Sherry), Angus, Ontario; Dena (Paul), Truro; sisters, Emily Shaw, Lorna Abbott, Dorothy Wallace, Audrey Lemon; brothers, Victor (Edith), Curtis (Katrina); nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Legere, second husband, Donald Borgstrom; brothers, Hedley and Freddie.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be Sunday, at 2 p.m., in Springside United Church, Rev. Carolyn Rushton officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
