Ruth Finch Keith - 93, of Cambridge, Kings County, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at home. Born on October 19, 1920 in Parrsboro, she was the daughter of the late Laurie B. and Florence B. (Finch) Gibson. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Evangeline Chapter, Kentville, where she served as Past Matron. She had also been a member of the Women's Institute in Cambridge. Ruth enjoyed sewing, her Wednesday night tole painting group and square dancing. She is survived by a daughter, Heather M. Kellock; a son, Michael D. (Kathryn D.); five grandchildren, M. Kathleen, Andrew K. and A. Fraser Kellock; Trina L. and Adam M. Keith; three great grandchildren, Julian, Lita and Hannah; nieces, Pam Doyle and Laurie Blackmore. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald C. Keith; a sister, Wilma Smith; nieces, Marianne Wells and Patricia Smith; a son-in-law, A. Scott Kellock. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 with an Order of the Eastern Star service held at 8:00 p.m. in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
