FRASER, PINA M. - 1928-2013 - Miramichi - Pina Marie Fraser, widow of the late Gerald L. Fraser, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday evening, November 14, 2013, at the age of 85. Born in Benjamin River, N.B. on March 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alexander (Sandy) and Mabel (McLean) White. She was a homemaker as well as a special care provider. She was a Block Parent and foster parent for many children over the years. She attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. She is survived by seven children, Judy Dignam (Kenny), Peggy Roper (Bruce), all of Miramichi, Kenny Fraser (Marlene), of Minto, Wayne Fraser (Celine), of Miramichi, Gary Fraser (Nancy), of Fredericton, Wendy Jenkins (Jimmy), of Miramichi, Bill Fraser, of Miramichi; twelve grandchildren, Tammy Dignam (Joe), Jenny Roper, Caleb Roper, Karen Morton (Brian), Kimberly Bates (James), Mandy Fraser, Josh Fraser, Matthew Fraser, Mark Fraser, Curtis Fraser, Gordie Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins; seventeen great grandchildren, Chloe Mazzerole, Alex Mazzerole, Torin Roper, Kloe Roper, Tristen Roper, Keira Roper, Kaden Roper, Brooke Morton, Travis Morton, Holly Bates, Emily Bates, Carter Fraser, Kallie Muir, Noah Fraser, Nina Fraser, Hadley Fraser. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, predeceased by her husband, Gerald, in 1974; three brothers, Hector, Arnold, Freddy White; one sister, Irene Jones.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Sunday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Miramichi. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, at 1:50 pm.
