Margaret Carmichael (Dunning) Johnson passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2013 at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow at the age of 95 after a brief illness. Born in Hazel Hill, Guysborough County she was the youngest daughter of the late John and Jessie (Cooke) Dunning. She is survived by niece, Diane (Eric) Ingham; nephew, John (Eleanor) Dunning; and step-son, Melbourne (Sharon) Johnson; niece, Barbara (Wayne) Coady and several step-grandchildren and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rollie Johnson; sisters, Jean Dunning and Mary McDowell; brother, Bill Dunning and nephew, William (Jill) Taylor. Margaret was an employee of Eastern Air Command, Halifax during the Second World War followed by employment with Wood Gundy and Marsh Adjustment Bureau. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. Funeral arrangements are tentatively scheduled for August 2014 at St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, N. S. Under the direction of White Family Funeral Home followed by interment in Garden of Rest Cemetery. Funeral notice will be posted at a later date. Family flowers only by request. Special thanks from the family to Gordon, Lauren and Chris for always being there for Aunt Marg during her stay at the Valley View Villa in Stellarton.
