Weatherbee, Charles Douglas “Dougie”, 58, Truro, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at home. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Earl and Evelyn (Weatherbee) Weatherbee. Dougie enjoyed his many trips to Tim Horton’s with his friends and to enjoy a cup of green tea. He will be missed by his cat Twitch.
He is survived by a son James at home; daughter Tiffany Weatherbee of Ontario; brother Dale Weatherbee (Penny) of Truro; sister Margaret Conrod of Truro; step-mother Leola Weatherbee of Truro; step-sister Brenda Bain of Truro; longtime friend Marilyn Hollingsworth; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Dougie was predeceased by a brother Dwinton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and where funeral service will take place on Monday, Nov. 25th at 1:00 pm. Rev. John Tonks will officiate with burial to take place at a later date in All Saints Cemetery, Springhill. Donations in memory may be made to the I.W.K. Hospital for Sick Children, Halifax.
