It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick in his 70th year, surrounded by family at the Brantford General Hospital, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 4 p.m. Cherished husband and best friend to Gloria for 47 years. Strong and loving father to Glen (Roxanne), Liz (Mike) and Gary (Carolyn). Poppy to four beautiful grandchildren, Shannon, Faith, Emma and Ryan. Deeply missed by his sister Alice Hanlon (the late Pat), brother Paul (Sharon) and step-mother Anna. Pat was called to Heaven by his mother Elizabeth and father Isaac. Pat was born in Torbay, Newfoundland and came to Hamilton in 1963 where he met the love of his life and raised a family that he was immensely proud of. Pat was also a long time employee and retiree of Hamilton Hydro. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 20 Idlewood Ave., on Monday at 9 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A special thanks from his family to Dr. Christian Finley and Anna Tran at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Dr. Rosalyn Juergens and the Cancer Centre Team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton for fighting alongside him.
