Though it is with sorrow that we say goodbye, it is with joy that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Vera on Friday, November 22, 2013 in Weldon, SK at the age of 84 years. Vera was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loving aunt and sister. Vera will be remembered by her two daughters: Shirley (Loren) Graupe and Bev Reilly; as well as her six grandchildren: Shel (Kerri) Graupe, Heather (Cam) Isaac, Sherri (Cyril) Denis, Michael (Kristin) Reilly, Sandra and Shelley; Vera’s memory will also be treasured by her eight great-grandchildren: Madison, Logan, Jesse, Alex, Manny, Tao, Emma and Soleil. Of her immediate family she leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Erna Weiss and Helen (Russ) Gray; her four brothers: Roy (Erika) Klinger, Eddy (Lois) Klinger, Erwin (Zelma) Klinger and Walter (Donelda) Klinger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was born on April 1, 1929 in Golding, Latvia. On August 10, 1929 at the young age of four months, she and her parents Adolf and Emma Klinger and two siblings immigrated to Canada on the ship named Metagama. They later homesteaded in Jansen, SK. Vera married John Weber on October 9, 1947 and they eventually made their home in Prince Albert, SK. Vera was predeceased by her husband: John in 1996; her son: Ken in 1988; her parents: Adolf and Emma Klinger as well as three siblings in infancy. Our sincere thanks to the caregivers at the Weldon Country Villa for their compassion and tender care they provided to our mother these past five years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to the Weldon Country Villa, Box 220, Weldon, SK S0J 3A0 or to the Evangelical Lutheran Broadcast, Box 1717, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T3. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 – 2:00 pm, Messiah Lutheran Church, 1796 – 15th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK. Private Family interment to follow.
